Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how personal data is processed in connection with the farsakoglu.av.tr website operated by Farsakoğlu Avukatlık Bürosu (the “Office”), in accordance with Article 10 of Law no. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”).

1. Data controller

The data controller is Farsakoğlu Avukatlık Bürosu, operated by Barış Farsakoğlu, Att., a member of the Ankara Bar Association. Contact details are set out in section 8 below.

2. What this site does not collect

In the interest of transparency, we begin with what is not done. This website:

  • contains no contact form, registration or newsletter subscription;
  • uses no cookies and creates no local storage (localStorage or similar) in your browser;
  • uses no analytics or tracking tools, including Google Analytics;
  • loads no content from third-party servers — all resources, including fonts, are served from our own server.

Accordingly, merely browsing this site does not result in the collection of data identifying you, and no profiling is carried out.

3. Calculators and decision tools

The attorney-fee, interest, VERBİS and cross-border data transfer tools, as well as the UDF converter, run entirely in your browser. The amounts, dates and documents you enter never leave your device; they are not transmitted to us or to any third party. PDF documents produced by these tools are likewise generated on your device.

4. Personal data processed and legal grounds

a) Server access logs. The hosting provider may keep technical access logs (IP address, time of access, page requested, browser information) for the operation and security of the system. Legal ground: the legitimate interests of the data controller (KVKK Art. 5/2‑f).

b) If you contact us. If you reach us through the telephone number, e-mail address or registered electronic mail (KEP) address shown on the site, the identity and contact details you provide, together with the content of your enquiry, are processed in order to assess and respond to your request. Legal grounds: direct connection with the conclusion or performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2‑c) and legitimate interests (Art. 5/2‑f). Where an attorney–client relationship is established, processing is additionally subject to our legal obligations (Art. 5/2‑ç) and to the duty of professional secrecy under Article 36 of the Attorneyship Law no. 1136.

5. Method of collection

Data under (a) is collected automatically at server level; data under (b) is collected by non-automated means, through information you provide directly.

6. Transfers

Your personal data is not transferred to any third party for marketing purposes. Server access logs reside solely within the infrastructure of our hosting provider. Transfers to authorised public authorities may be made where required by law.

7. Retention

Server access logs are retained for the period technically provided for by the hosting provider. Data you provide when contacting us is retained for as long as necessary to conclude your request; where an attorney–client relationship has been established, for the retention periods prescribed by the applicable legislation. Once those periods expire, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

8. Your rights and how to exercise them

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is being processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used in accordance with that purpose; know the third parties to whom the data is transferred in Türkiye or abroad; request rectification where the data is incomplete or inaccurate; request erasure or destruction; request that such rectification or erasure be notified to third parties to whom the data has been transferred; object to a result arising against you from analysis carried out exclusively by automated means; and claim compensation for damage suffered as a result of unlawful processing.

You may submit your requests, together with documents verifying your identity and in accordance with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller, to baris@farsakoglu.av.tr or to our KEP address (baris.farsakoglu@hs02.kep.tr). Requests are concluded within thirty days at the latest, pursuant to Article 13 of the KVKK.

9. Updates

This notice will be updated if a technical change is made to the site. Changes take effect on the date they are published on the site.
